This will be a multi-part series highlighting some of the activities of students in Bulloch County's Career Technical & Agricultural Education (CTAE) program. All information is provided by Bulloch County Schools.

The purpose of Bulloch County Schools' Career Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program is to prepare students for successful careers and build an educated, skilled, and efficient workforce for economic growth in Bulloch County.

The system's career clusters, career pathways and student technical organizations are the core of CTAE. The classroom instruction and student-led chapters of national technical organizations help the school system leverage partnerships with local businesses, industries, and institutes of higher learning. This helps our youth explore options, learn new skills, and apply those skills in their careers.

Read on to learn more about two recent activities involving students in the Work-Based Learning Career Cluster.

Automotive Technology Students Visit Local Car Dealership

Students in the Automotive Technology career pathway at Southeast Bulloch High School toured the Dan Vaden Nissan Statesboro dealership (pictured at top). The tour was for students who are interested in work-based learning opportunities.

Each of our high schools have work-based learning coordinators who work to find and foster real world, hands-on experiences for students in local businesses like these.

The Work-Based Learning program represents the pinnacle of Bulloch County Schools' Career Technical and Agricultural Education program. It allows qualified students who have mastered skills in career pathway areas the opportunity to work at approved job placements to gain valuable work experience while receiving course credit.

Statesboro High School Lunch and Learn with ACE Electric

Statesboro High School regularly hosts Lunch & Learn events to bring students and local business and industry professionals together.
