Ferst Readers of Bulloch County will hold its Booktoberfest Boro Brews for Books fundraiser on Saturday, October 1. The downhill, .5K (yes, that's point 5) stroll will begin at 3pm on the front porch of Eagle Creek Brewing Company on Savannah Avenue and end at the back patio of Tandoor and Tap on East Main.

The cost to participate is $36, which includes a commemorative koozie as well as two drink tickets redeemable for a beer at Eagle Creek and Tandoor. (Must be 21 to participate.)

Proceeds from registration fees will be donated to Ferst Readers of Bulloch County, which will put quality books directly into the hands of young readers in our community. That $36 allows a child to receive a new, age-appropriate book and the Ferst activity newsletter each month for an entire year!

Prizes will be awarded for the most spirited group, the goofiest gear, and last place. Registration is open and available online.
