ThompsonGas, previously known as TruFlame, hosted four first responders from the Bulloch County Fire Department at their annual Safety Day training on June 29, 2022.

ThompsonGas employees and local fire fighters in attendance talked through how to respond to a gas leak or bulk plant emergency. They also received hands-on fire extinguisher training and an overview on how to handle propane safely.

“I think it is a great opportunity to work with ThompsonGas on promoting safety procedures and protocols,” said Joe Carter, Bulloch County Firefighter. “We are able to gain better insight on how to help each other and our community stay as safe as possible.”

Erick Blitch, District Manager at ThompsonGas, echoed Parker’s comments, saying, “It’s refreshing to see a company invest so much time and resources into the safety of our employees and customers. We are especially excited to work alongside the Bulloch County Fire Department and collaborate on safety and how we respond to emergency calls."

This was the first year holding the event at ThompsonGas, and they want to include more first responders and participants from neighboring counties at future annual events.
