Due to a Friday night weather delay for the 2022 Statesboro NCAA Regionals and pending the first game finishing tonight, GS and UNCG will play at 10 am on Saturday and the goal is to play three games.

The first game of the NCAA Statesboro Regional between Notre Dame and Texas Tech went into a weather delay at of 2:31 p.m. on Friday. The stadium was cleared due to a lightning strike within eight miles.
The Notre Dame and Texas Tech game began at 2 pm and only completed one inning before it was delayed due to weather.
The gates re-opened at 5 pm. with hopes of starting at 5:35 pm. However it was delayed again with the start pushed back to 8:30 pm. As of 9:00 pm the game had not began.
