Ogeechee Riverkeeper (ORK) will join a public panel to discuss state constitutions and amendments that protect clean water. Montana, Pennsylvania, and most recently New York have enshrined Rights to Clean Water, Air, Land, and a Healthy Environment (RTCW) in their constitutions. Florida has a statewide petition on the 2024 ballot.
A public webinar will explore the steps of adding a similar amendment to Georgia's state constitution. Why should it? And what would such an amendment consist of?
The public is invited to participate and share feedback.
