Wesley Bragg was a popular musician and firefighter from Statesboro was killed at 29 in a car accident in 2017.

Wesley worked full-time as a Georgia Forestry Ranger in Reidsville Georgia. He loved his job and travelled to California and other areas in the U.S. helping battle large wildfires. It was the perfect job for Wesly because he always looked for ways to help others.

He was one semester away from finishing his degree in Anthropology at Georgia Southern. His brother Dylan accepted the degree posthumously on his behalf.

All his life Wesley has been around music. He learned to play guitar. He was born with a beautiful voice and was a great singer. He was in chorus in school and later in high school he formed his own band, which performed at venues and events around the area.

He was a regular and favorite at Millhouse which he considered his home away from home.

Wesley's family and the community were shocked by his sudden death. When he crashed they found his band equipment in the truck. Wesley was thrown from the vehicle and beside him was his beloved guitar.

Wesley had bought a 2016 Gibson J 100 walnut in color. It was a very high end guitar which he loved dearly.

After his death, the guitar became a final connection to his mother Angie. She kept the guitar locked away in their home. Someone managed to break into where the guitar was kept and stole it. They left behind the case, stap and tuning tool.

They have the serial number for the guitar and can identify it this way.

They have offered a reward which at first was only $500, but as his mother Angie began posting it on social media his friends and even strangers touched by this story helped increase the reward to $1500 for any information that leads to its return.

"I lost my baby, my heart and his guitar was apart of him he played it and sang his heart out doing so. It's all I have left," said Angie Bragg. "Someone knows where this guitar is. I am ready to forgive you and will not pursue any legal action if you will just help me get it back."
