100 families had their Christmas wish lists granted Sunday, December 19, 2021 from the City of Statesboro toy drive.

This was made possible thanks to the City of Statesboro Toy Drive along with their partner agencies including the Bulloch County NAACP, the Statesboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Beta Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Xi Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Beta Gamma Gamma Foundation.

Also members of the community, along with employees of East Georgia Regional Medical Center, donated toys to the City of Statesboro toy drive.

In addition, Food World donated 200 bags of non-perishable food items, so the organizations were able to host a food giveaway in conjunction with the toy distribution.

“Do you remember your Christmas morning experience as child? Waking up early with anticipation of what you would be getting, then ripping open the gift(s) with excitement,” said Delinda Gaskins, Bulloch County NAACP. “We believe that all children deserve to experience the happiness and excitement of Christmas morning. The past two years have been filled with a great deal loss and even disappointment for many in our community. It is our desire to ensure that this holiday season will be a joyous, memorable one for local children and their families.”

This is GRICE GOOD! Thanks to the City of Statesboro and each of these incredible agencies for stepping up to make Christmas wishes come true for so many in our community.
