Christmas came a little early for 10 youth in our community thanks to the Statesboro Family YMCA and local businesses, non-profit agencies and volunteers.

Each night in our community, there are children sleeping on floors, couches, chairs or sharing beds with multiple family members. The Statesboro Family YMCA believes that all kids deserve a space to call their own and a place to dream.

Because of this belief they launched the "A place to dream" in February, 2021. The program has worked successfully in other markets served by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, which is the umbrella organization for the Statesboro Family YMCA.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021 they delivered their first 10 beds to children that were in need of a bed of their own.

ABOUT "A PLACE TO DREAM"

A safe place to sleep and dream is instrumental in the well being and development of a child. "A Place to Dream" is working to ensure local children have their own space to sleep and dream.

"A Place to Dream" is a bed donation program bringing new beds including bed frame, mattress, bedding, snack bag, a bible, a book, a stuffed animal and more to Bulloch households in need.

supplies for the program.

Todays bed placements was made possible thanks to donations from organizations, churches, clubs, businesses, and individuals that stepped up to help make this program possible.
