DOGGY-TOUR

Join the DSDA on their March Doggy Tour of Downtown Statesboro! With this tour, you’ll get treats for your pooches and get to know the history, shopping and dining that Statesboro has to offer!

Due to Covid-19, their monthly First Fridays are currently on hold. But in order to keep the community involved in what Downtown is offering, they are continuing the new initiative called Downtown Tours: Discovering all the antique wonders and history from beautiful Downtown Statesboro with walking tours around the downtown area.

The tours will start at the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority (DSDA) office at 10 Siebald St. and will highlight local businesses, showing the beautiful history of Statesboro. The tour will end at the Downtown Dog Park, located at 20 E. Cherry Street. The Statesboro/Bulloch Humane Society and Moe’s Southwest Grill will have some exciting surprises and eats for all.

Doggy Tour dates March 26 & 27

Tour dates are: March 26 at 11:30am & March 27 at 11:30am. These tours are free, however they request people to pre-register as we are limiting the size of groups and practicing social distancing. On this tour, they will be stopping by American Roofing. American Roofing will be giving out treats for both the dogs and people!

Each month, the DSDA will choose a theme related to the stops that our guides will follow. The theme for this month is: “Downtown Doggy Tour”.

Downtown Tours is a new initiative for the DSDA and their hope is that they can use this as an opportunity to highlight local businesses and bring more people downtown to shop, eat and play. DSDA is thankful for the Doggy Tours sponsors Georgia Power, Cinnaholic, Core Credit Union Tormenta FC, McKeithen’s True Value, Statesboro Bulloch Humane Society, Moe’s Southwest Grill, American Roofing and Coca Cola.

"Downtown Statesboro has a variety of unique shops, tasty restaurants and the greatest concentration of entrepreneur owned businesses. Support these small shops and show them some love in 2021" said, Allen Muldrew executive director for Downtown Statesboro Development Authority.
