4 & 20 Bakers to Feed Front Line workers at EGRMC

4 & 20 Bakers, known for its delicious cupcakes, lemonade & pizza, is giving back to frontline workers in Statesboro, a city that helped them start & grow as a business. Specifically, 4 & 20 Bakers is looking to feed 400 Front Line workers at East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) for the next stop on their "Thank You Tour" on March 31st. For their previous stop, 4 & 20 Bakers had success feeding 100 Front Line workers in Screven County.

With the "Thank You Tour" visiting EGRMC, it is a way for 4 & 20 Bakers to give back to one of the communities that helped them grow from a tent & cupcakes to two food trucks, a restaurant & a banquet facility. TChad Montgomery, owner of 4 & 20 Bakers, cites Statesboro's Farmer's Market & F1rst Fridays as great ways for individuals to grow their business; his food truck can be found at the farmers market once a month to help while the market is not operating at full capacity due to safety concerns.

Not only does Montgomery know the power & generosity of our community, he also knows how difficult it can be to be a Front Line worker. As a former EKG Tech & EMT, Montgomery understands how demanding those jobs can be in general, much less during a global health crisis.

"I couldn't imagine these days, trying to take a half hour lunch break from a hospital, decompress, deal with the garb that you're wearing, then trying to go somewhere to eat. Not to mention the stigma that comes with those types of jobs now. I saw that happening & it bugged me."

How to Help

How can you help 4 & 20 Bakers reach their goal of feeding 400 Front Line workers? Donate to their gofundme HERE. Each meal costs $9, we challenge all Grice Connect readers to think of this as "paying it forward" and helping out a neighbor in the community. Even if you can't give a lot, by donating just $9 you have the option to help feed a Front Line worker as they work to help keep others safe.

Business sponsors who choose to donate have the option to add their own logo to the 4 & 20 Bakers food truck for the duration of the event on March 31st.
