Around 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 31, Bulloch County EMS responded to a hunting accident on RT Meyer Road near highway 46 in the Ellabell area of Bulloch County. When they arrived they found a 12 year old boy who had suffered a gunshot wound. The 12 year old, Bulloch County resident was pronounced dead at the scene. Due to this being a minor, authorities will not release the name of the victim or the name of the shooter who was also a minor.

According to Bulloch County Coroner, Jake Futch the two boys were hunting squirrels when one of the boys accidentally shot and killed the other boy.
