The Statesboro Herald and Grice Connect are teaming up to bring live coverage of the Bulloch County Sheriff forum Tuesday evening at 6 PM. You can watch the forum live at or

Jim Healy, Operations Manager of the Statesboro Herald, will moderate the forum live from the Emma Kelly Theater in downtown Statesboro. The candidates forum, which is sponsored by the Statesboro Herald, is not open for a live audience due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Incumbent Sheriff Noel Brown is challenged by former Bulloch County deputy Rey Rodriguez, currently working for a neighboring county sheriff’s office. While each has expressed views that the sheriff’s seat should be nonpartisan, Brown is running on the Republican ticket, while Rodriguez is on the ballot as a Democrat.

The forum will be videotaped in its entirety and available to watch on demand beginning Wednesday afternoon on Reporters will cover the forum for full coverage in the Statesboro Herald.
