Bulloch Academy Class of 2020

This year has been nothing but remarkable for the high school graduates of the class of 2020.  Across the county, each high school tried to figure out the best way to handle graduation ceremonies since they are such an important milestone.  Bulloch Academy made the decision to push back their commencement ceremony a few months in hopes that COVID-19 would be long gone.  Instead, our community is seeing the worst impact of COVID-19 yet.

Bulloch Academy’s graduates decided to embrace the moment and each of them wore matching facemasks during their graduation ceremony on Tuesday night.  Obviously, this was not the ceremony they hoped for.  However, in this moment, Bulloch Academy gave our community a wonderful example of how we can continue life, safely and compassionately, with a few inconveniences like facemasks which in the end could make a huge difference.

The Ceremony

The graduation ceremony was held at Georgia Southern University’s Performing Arts Center.  Only a few of each graduate’s family members could attend the socially distanced graduation ceremony.  Family and friends who were not able to attend were able to watch the ceremony by livestream.  If you missed it, we included the link of the recording here:
