The leadership of the Statesboro Farmer’s Market2Go continues to make tweaks and adjustments to help manage the extraordinary growth during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place order.  Last week they moved the market pickup to Uncle Shug’s on Main.  This gave them much more space to organize the orders inside the building, but created even more traffic challenges.  To make this run more efficiently, they are adjusting the pickup over two days, instead of just a few hours on one evening.   With the adjustments and by spreading pickups over two days, the need for more volunteers has greatly increased.

To comply with with CDC rules, they are respective of making sure no more than ten volunteers are in the building at one time.  For this reason, they have set up an online volunteer sign up system that gives details of specific needs and is broken down into specific time windows.  It is perfectly fine to volunteer for multiple shifts, as long as they are in different time periods.

They are also encouraging home delivery, which is an option when you complete your order at Statesboro Farmers Market2GO .  This supports another local company, BoroTakeOut, and helps the volunteers running the market to manage the growth and ensure your safety and compliance with the CDC COVID-19 orders.

The order deadline continues to be Tuesday at midnight for a Thursday and Friday home delivery or pickup.  Spreading pickup times over two days should help, but the need for volunteers is great.

They are so appreciative of your continued support in spite of having growing pains over the last few weeks.  The local farmers and businesses have found this to be an incredible life line for their businesses.
