Reports of Good Deeds in the Boro

We love sharing good news about the Boro, and there are so many people stepping up in extraordinary ways to help others.  We wanted to share a few that you may have seen on social media.

Brent Stephens Music has done it again.  He held a second virtual concert Saturday night and raised $3,300 for Christian Social Ministry.

On Monday, Christian Social Ministry extended the hours of their food distribution from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Their clients got an extra surprise compliments of the Statesboro Food Bank.  Statesboro Food Bank shared fresh vegetables with CSM for their clients.

Also on Monday, City of David Church partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank for a food drop in the city.  A delicious and fresh lunch of fish and shrimp was provided for the volunteers at City of David thanks to Wayne and Keri Sircy, owners of Ocean Galley Seafood.

Ocean GalleyDebbie Edenfield of Deb Bee’s Creations continues to lead mask efforts to make masks and gowns for health care and service industry workers.  They delivered masks to Bi-Lo employees who are working hard to keep groceries flowing to our community.

Bi-Lo MaskAmazing job by the Bulloch County Schools.  They have prepared and distributed nearly 33,000 meals to children in our community.  This week would have been spring break for the school system.  However, the school nutrition, transportation and other school volunteers are not slowing down.
