Josh Whitfield named 2019 Business Leader of the Year

The Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce named Josh Whitfield, local entrepreneur and owner of Whitfield Signs and The West District , as their 2019 Business Leader Of the Year.

The Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce named  Josh Whitfield, local entrepreneur and owner of Whitfield Signs and The West District, as their 2019 Business Leader Of the Year. This annual meeting marks the Chambers 98th year of service to our community.

Josh Whitfield, a Bulloch County native, has grown a small sign company into a nationally-recognized business. The business now occupies a 50,000 square foot facility in downtown Statesboro. Whitfield Signs also serves as the anchor of Whitfield’s visionary West District revitalization project.

Bryce Bunting, President of Advance Valve and Instrument, accepted the Business of the Year Award.  Advanced serves prominent businesses around the world with precision valves. They are an industry leader located in Bulloch County.

Outgoing Chamber Chair Bob Mikell recognized Roxane Kibler from the Chamber staff and Phyllis Thompson, the Chamber President, for their faithful years of service. Both Kibler and Thompson are retiring at the end of this month.

Chris Gohagan, an attorney with Taulbee, Rushing, Snipes, Marsh and Hodgin, was installed as the incoming Chair.
