“Neither,” a ceramic exhibition by Georgia Southern University alumni and Savannah State Professor Eric Clark, will be on display in the Main Gallery of the Averitt Center for the Arts from November 7 through January 3.

There will be a public reception and an artist discussion of his work at the exhibition opening next Thursday, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Clark’s artwork is created by hand and sculpted in clay, however, he strives to remove identifiable information about the materials and process in which the art is made to create a sense of mystery about the object’s true origin.

“My current body of work springs from my fascination with industry and the magic of the production process,” he said. Clark also drew inspiration from his interest in industrial aesthetics and the mass production of food and everyday objects.

Clark is currently an assistant professor at Savannah State University, teaching both three dimensional and two-dimensional art classes. He has had his artwork displaced in over 20 exhibitions throughout the United States with one exhibit being displayed in Sheffield, England. He obtained his Masters of Fine Art in three-dimensional arts, specifically ceramics, from GSU in 2014.
