Zaxby’s Scare on the Square

Zaxby’s 12th annual Scare on the Square is being held on Sunday, October 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. providing an evening full of free fun for the entire community to enjoy.

This year’s Scare on the Square is sure to spook and startle even the toughest crowd while still keeping those who aren’t up to the challenge entertained. Featuring a costume contest, trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, interactive games and activities, face painting, a themed hayride and so much more, Scare on the Square has something for the whole family to enjoy.

Don’t miss out on the new Monster Mashup dance that is taking place of the annual “Thriller” dance. If you’re interested in participating, hop on over to Cotton Rose School of Dance on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to practice.

This year’s haunted house theme is the Haunting of Hill House. Although the rest of the activities will be winding down by 9 p.m., the haunted house will run until 11 p.m. the night of the event.  If haunted houses aren’t your style, take a stroll down East Main Street to enjoy the decorated cars and candy for trunk-or-treat.

Dr. Brent Wolfe’s recreational therapy students have organized many games and activities for the event all while making sure the hayride and haunted house are accessible and exciting for the entire community. Efforts like the ones put forth by Wolfe and his students are sure to make Scare on the Square a success.

Dress up with your friends and family and sign up for our costume contest for a chance to win fun prizes. Registration begins at 4 p.m. for the 0-3 age category and the contest begins at 5 p.m. You must register 30 minutes prior to your age group starting.
