Statesboro Businesses Slowly Reopening

Many Statesboro restaurants and retail businesses are beginning to re-open since the Tropical Storm Warning has ended.  A wind advisory will remain in effect until 2 pm.  However, the weather should continue to improve.

Massive Power Outages Continue

At 1 pm 4,689 Bulloch County residents remain without power.  The majority of these outages are served by EMC and are in the county.  Due to these outages, a few red lights on the bypass and around town are still not fully operational.  Statesboro Police Department is encouraging citizens to drive with caution and has shared a reminder of how to effectively navigate a red light that is not working properly.

Have a Generator or Supplies you can share?

Reach out to your friends and neighbors in the county if you have a generator or other supplies that may be helpful to them.  Most people in the county are on well’s so their water does not work without power and they are in jeopardy of loosing their food in freezers and refrigerators.
